It zips up one side then across the top and down the other side - effectively 'hinged' at the bottom when fully open.

the whole of the front zips away on 3 sides, so it opens like a suitcase, very handy as you don't have to delve to the bottom or get everything out to find items at the bottom, it has straps, like a suitcase, to stop contents slipping about. Very handy, this feature is why I bought this model.

It opens all the way around from near to the bottom on one side to near to the bottom on the other side. It is unnecessary to stuff anything and nothing gets lost because it opens completely.

Hi Ya

There are three zips, one at the front, one for the smaller compartment and one for the main compartment.

The main compartment of the bag has a zip from side to side.

So as the zip has two zips the zip can left and reopened on the side or on the top.

Thanks for you question.

No. It's not rigid enough for wheels to be viable.

Depends on the airline, how you pack it, the total weight and whether or not you leave the day pack attached.

Thanks for your question.

This is a large 65L rucksack and would be too large for hand luggage. The detachable day sack however would be suitable.
